Det här är bara vad jag tror så det kanske inte stämmer alls

Jag är inte så hemma på raserna än så länge men vad jag vet så är en h. birma alltid himalayatecknad och de har alltid vita sockor. En mitted raggis har också (ska ha i alla fall ?) vita sockor medans en colorpoint har färgade ben. Sedan kan ju en raggis vara bicolor också (med bred bläs) medans en birma (så vitt jag vet) inte har något vitt alls i ansiktet.

Utdrag ur rasstandarden hos båda raserna:

H. birma strl: Medium
Ragdoll strl: Stor

H. birma kroppsstrl: Slightly long body (vet inte riktigt hur man ska översätta det till svenska på ett korrekt sätt)
Ragdoll kroppsstrl: Kort och kraftig

Det finns säkert en massa andra skillnader som jag inte kan och någon får gärna rätta mig om jag har fel!

En Ragdoll Mitted skall även ha vit haka, detta skall ej en Birma ha.

I breed both ragdolls and birmans and in my point of view these two cat breeds are so different…here are some things..ragdoll is big,firm and heavy breed and birman should be medium sized.In birman race standard it says that quite long body but actually it should be medium long when compared to ragdoll that should have a long body.

Birman head should be roundish,with full cheeks that are roundish.Birman nose should be shorter than ragdoll nose.Ragdoll should not have rounded head they should have wedge like and broad head.Both breeds should have strong chin.Ragdoll cat has medium sized ears and birmans have small ears.Ragdoll eyes are oval and birman eyes are more rounder ovals.Ragdoll eyes are blue deeper the better and in standard according to point colour.All birmans should have deep blue eye colour that is big fault if birman has medium blue eyes.(my opinnion).

Cloves of a birman (own point scoring)are more important when judging than white markings in ragdolls.No dark spots are aloud.Both (if comparing mitted whites to birman whites)have white cloves in front paws and mitteds have white boots in hind legs and birmans have gountlets that are upside down V-markings that are half or three quarters high from botton of the paw but it is a mistake if these V-markings in back legs go too high or are too low.

Birman body colour is egg shell white with goldenbeige shade(not all birmans are having it)And as we know ragdoll body colour varies with the colour and the pattern.And birman is not having white line in the belly like mitted ragdoll.

I would say that a person who can not see difference between these two breeds can easily recognice a birman from the round face and "birman look".The coat of a birman is more fluffy than ragdolls silky coat.Birman coat feels to the hand soft and cotton-like and ragdoll coat should feel "little bit cold" with the first touch and silky and soft.

Quite much information but these came to my mind quickly..

next there is my seal mitted kitten and birman kitten at the same age(sorry about birman picture in ragdoll forum) first mitted ragdoll..

and then seal point birman kitten at the same age..
